Where does Tally run?
On Android and in a web browser, both still in testing. Windows is an early demo, and there is no iPhone app. Here is the honest state of each, and what it cannot do yet.
Android
in testingNeeds Android 10 or newer. Installed from a private download for now; it is not on Google Play yet.
Web app
in testingWorks in a modern browser on a desktop or a phone and can be added to your home screen. It is not open to the public yet.
Windows
early demo onlyA small test window that shows sample numbers. It is not usable yet.
iPhone and iPad
no appThere is no iOS app.
No download buttons are shown because none of these is publicly available yet.
What changed recently?
The build receipt lists real, dated milestones from the build log. It shows what was done, not what is promised.
Build receipt
- Android 1.8: six bugs from a real-phone test fixed, then re-checked on that phone.
- Web app: tighter layouts on phone screens.
- Android 1.7 walked through on a real phone. Six bugs written up.
- New Gate logo, and the Machine style for the web app.
- Teller's Tape redesign built for the Android app and the web app.
Status: in development. No public sign-up yet.

What do I need to run it?
A recent Android phone or a modern browser.
| Platform | What you need | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Android | Android 10 or newer | Installed from a private download. The converter works with no account; Budget needs pairing with the server. |
| Web app | A modern desktop or phone browser | Passkeys and push notifications need a modern browser. A list of supported browsers has not been drawn up yet. |
| Windows | Nothing usable yet | A test window with built-in sample numbers. No sign-in and no network. |
| iPhone and iPad | Not applicable | No app. How the web app behaves on an iPhone has not been tested. |
Not open yet, and clear about it.
